Booking ›
Reservations: A $500.00 per person
deposit is required to reserve a space on our trips. Booking
is confirmed upon receipt of this deposit. We accept payment
by check only. Please make checks payable to Europeds. Final
payment is due 90 days prior to the trip’s start date.
Bookings and payments are confirmed
by return mail. A risk release form, also sent at this time,
must be read, signed and returned to Europeds.
Cancellations and Refunds:
Cancellations must be made in writing. A $400.00 per person
cancellation fee will be assessed when cancellation is made
more than 90 days prior to trip start date. Fifty percent
(50%) of the full tour cost will be retained by Europeds when
cancellation occurs between 90 days and 31 days before a trip’s
start date. Full tour cost will be retained by Europeds when
cancellation occurs within 30 days of the trip start date
or during the trip. We highly recommend trip cancellation
insurance.
Bikes ›
Bikes: Most guests on our Europeds
tours prefer to bring their own bicycles to ride. If you are
not going to bring your own bike, and need to rent a bike,
please let us know as soon as possible.
Bike Boxes: Storage of all bike
travel cases will be handled by Europeds and will be included
in the tour price.
Fitness/Trip Difficulty Ratings ›
We use a simple scale for rating the difficulty of our trips as follows:
- A = about 25 miles a day without too many hills
- B = about 30-35 miles a day with moderate (rolling hills)
- C = about 50-60 miles a day with serious hills
How to pack ›
Clothes/Attire: Along with
the bike clothes you are bringing, you will also need some
casual/semi dressy clothes for dinner. Generally, shorts are
frowned upon at dinner in France. We do our best to respect
the local customs.
Packing: Please
pack light. One big bag per person is recommended. We have
limited space and will be a mobile unit traveling together
for much of this trip. Keeping the bags to a minimum will
make our time in the shuttle vans more comfortable.
* A detailed tour specific packing
list will be provided upon booking.
Transportation ›
Train/Airfare: We are very
happy to consult with you regarding your travel to and around
France before and after our Tour. You will need to contact
a travel agent, or use the internet to purchase your air tickets
and train tickets. We highly recommend the use of an experienced
travel agent. They can save you time and money.
Travel Insurance: it is
highly suggested that you purchase travel insurance.
