At Europeds/Discover France Adventures, we own our own bikes! In fact, we have our own bike shop that is a full service retail shop carrying well known brands like Scott, Look, Orbea, Focus, and others. We employ professonal mechanics to look after all rental bikes as well as our regular professional service to the local customers.

bike hire france Our lead bike on all Europeds tours is the Scott hybrid. The SCOTT Sportster P3 or P4, or P40 hybrid bike is featured on all of the guided cycling tours. All bikes are turned over every year to 2 years and is the reason for different models on what is essentially the same bike. Of note: this model is a superior quality all terrain bike that we call a hybrid. It is meant for the road or dirt surfaces that are relatively wide and free of obects. SEE FULL SCOTT HYBRID SPECS.

Instead of a hybrid, we are pleased to offer carbon Look 566 road bikes for 2012 on our guided Europeds tours throughout France. These are the same bikes we use on all Tour de France and challenging cycling tours shown on Cycling Classics. The Look 566 is an awesome rental bike - a high quality carbon bike at an affordable price. With 'compact geometry' and ultralight carbon; the bike is both responsive and comfortable. Mountain bikes are also available for our mountain bike tours and rental. We use the Scott Aspect, and Scott Genius. Note: All cycling tours in France include a GPS unit on the hybrid bikes! RENTALS ONLY: We can make our bicycles available to non-tour clients on a "per request" basis. We can provide rentals at specific pickup locations throughout France. Availability will depend on demand by our tours. The peak periods in July around the Tour de France are generally not possible. Note that if you rent bikes only, special terms apply, and minimum rental is applicable in some locations. Bookings should be done at least 2 weeks in advance. Shipping charges apply everywhere except at our bike shop in Lunel, near to Montpellier in the south.
