When you start one of our cycling tours, you are immediately in the company of one of our professional cycling tour guides. Not only do our guides have years of experience, they are bilingual French locals who take pride is showing you around their hometown roads. The joy of traveling on our guided trips is the beauty of being in the company of a local who knows about that small alley through town, or knows the local artist who will invite you into their studio and serve you coffee and cookies at midday. Our guides are not only good at what they do, they have made it their lives, and they love what they do.

As soon as you arrive, you will experience what it means to travel with a service professional; and we are very proud of this. A typical day on tour always starts with a great French breakfast or petit dejeuner. Delight in fresh croissants with your coffee or tea, and fuel up for the day ahead. Your bikes will already be waiting for you when its time to leave, usually around 9AM. Before departure you will be able to leave your jackets, layers, cameras and other items in the van that will be with you all day.

You follow your bike guide out of town in the morning and have the opportunity to ride at your own pace, or follow your guide and learn the history and meet friends along the way. In addition to biking through some of the most beautiful regions of France, our days on tour are filled with visits to cultural sites, museums and other unique and special visits. Throughout the day, your guides will often stop to share stories or point out building and sites of historical significance.

When its time for lunch, you get to experience what it means to be spoiled. Our picnic lunches are legendary, and you see and taste why. Not only will your van driver already have everything set out, the choices or cheese, salads, tortes, fruit and wine will have you off of your bike in no time. After lunch, and perhaps a short sieste, its back on the bike and into the countryside.

Pedal at your own pace and enjoy the wind in your hair. A few stops for visits will always help to break up the ride and before long you are back at your hotel in time for a swim or a little shopping in town. On our tours your dinners will be a combination of group dinners together or dinners on your own, where you have the opportunity to choose your own restaurants, but do not be afraid to ask our guides about their favorites! Dinner together as a group is another opportunity to reap the benefits of our experienced guides. Learn about the local cuisine and taste incredible local wines you may never have heard of.
