We ask you to arrive in Avignon from where we transfer you to start, but its a perfect place to have an extra night prior to the tour or after the tour. Access from Paris is easy and quick on the TGV train. From Gordes, we make a big loop that will bring you back to Avignon at the end. Your itineraries are studied with care and patience ; they avoid the traffic and look up the highlights. Our guides are all professionals, French, and backed by many years of experience on the bike and with foreign, English speaking travelers! DAY 1
DAY 1: Arrival in Avignon; we recommend the TGV from Paris city or CDG airport. We will meet and transfer at 2pm to Gordes. If you come a day early, we can arrange an extra night in central Avignon, near to all the sites and pick you up at your hotel prior to the train station meeting. After the drive to Gordes, about 1.5 hours, you will be welcomed into the fantastic and deluxe Bastide de Gordes. Later we will have an orientation with the guides who will set up bikes, go over the rides, and the days ahead and welcome you with an apertif. Dinner altogether in Gordes after our welcome meeting to get everyone acquainted over a gastronomic and typical Provencale menu to delight your senses! (D)

Day 2: From Gordes we do a loop cycling tour today. We actually have several options and ways to ride, but our first ride, the most popular, is to Isle Sur La Sorgue, and charming town along the Sorgue River. And today is Sunday, so its market day for the antique market. The ride to Isle sur la Sorgue is 39km and includes visit of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, village with a refreshing temperature due to the spring where the river Sorgue begins. After a picnic lunch in a peaceful setting carefully chosen by your guides, its back to Gordes where you can enjoy the spa and hotel amenities, or explore the wonderful village of Gordes. Day 3: Gordes to St Remy de Provence: 48km Today we leave the Vaucluse to join the Bouches-du-Rhone department. Our itinerary takes us via Coustellet (Lavender museum) to melon-town Cavaillon where we have to cross the Durance river. A scenic route will take you to Eygalieres, a beautiful one horse-town of some hundreds inhabitants. A short steep walk (or ride) will take you the top of the village, a panoramic viewpoint from where you see the Durance valley, Alpilles mountain range and the rock of Les Baux de Provence. After another countryside picnic, the final stretch is a gentle trip through the Alpilles hills will take you to Saint-Remy-de-Provence, the centre of Provencal culture, native town of Nostradamus and residence of Vincent Van Gogh. Deluxe, gastronomic dinner included again tonight in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Loop ride to include Baux de Provence and Arles in option. 30-55km : The ride today can be a shorter ride including the hills of the Alpilles up to Les Baux, or it can first include a trip to the famous town of Arles via the Abbey of Montmajour. Back in St Remy, you have an open night to go to dinner on your own. (B,L)

Day 5: St Remy de Provence to Uzes & Pont du Gard (48km): Straight to Avignon is not so far, but to miss the fantastic site of the Pont du Gard would not be doing the Best Of! So, we take you on a route west of Avignon to see the Pont du Gard. Along the way you pass Graveson and Barbentane where you can visit the Abbey of Saint Michel de Frigolet from the 10th century. Finish the day at the deluxe Relais and Chateau hotel Le Vieux Castillon; gastronomic dinner included. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Departure: After breakfast you have some free time to rest or explore on your own before we depart as a group back to Avignon. You will be dropped at the TGV station or a central Avignon hotel if pre-booked. We are available to book Paris hotels or other services. (B)
